Uganda Martyrs University is the premier private university of Uganda (www.umu.ac.ug) and wanted to develop an up-to-date and an above all appropriate ICT and Information Systems curriculum at Bachelors and Master (MSc) levels.

In the period 2002 – 2006 a department of ICT/IS was established in the Faculty of Science, staff has been trained and new curriculum was successfully implemented.
